Why Ear Health Is So Personal to Me
People often assume I started a career in earwax removal just as a business venture, but actually, it's much more personal than that.
I'm a mum to two wonderful daughters, and over the years, we've had our fair share of ear problems as a family. From impacted wax, to polyps, to glue ear.
It's been, at times, a frightening journey. Watching my little one have to go through grommet surgery and adenoid removal really brought home how challenging ear issues can be for both the child and the whole family.
Training to recognise, not just treat
When I trained in earwax removal, I didn't just learn how to take wax out safely, I also studied how to recognise signs and symptoms of different ear conditions, and when to refer someone to their GP instead.
Because knowing when not to treat is just as important as knowing when you can.
More than removing wax
For me, this isn't just about earwax, it's about helping people hear better, easing worry and giving families reassurance from someone who understands what they're going through.
Every appointment is a chance to listen properly, check thoroughly, and make sure you and your loved ones leave feeling heard - and hearing clearer.
